Stargate portal miniature - any drawings or diagrams available?

Hello everyone, In the coming year I need to make an effects test for a stargate fan film. I'd like to make the stargate portal as a miniature (as opposed to CG) but I am having a difficult time finding any drawings or diagrams of same. I've hunted through the dealers rooms at many a convention and even purchased some books from the UK but nada. No info. Anyone have any ideas? Thanks

I have seen models of stargate portals before. I saw one at a convention too. I'm not entirely sure of this, but I beleive there is a model kit being sold. I wouldnt know what company makes them but I would try "northern lights" first. There are probably toys that follow the stargate series and movie as well. Although toys are notoriously inacurate (most of the time) if all else fails, rent the movie and freeze frame it for reference shots. I just looked through the stargate cinefex and sadly found not much. There is an add in there that has a close up section of the gate though. keep in mind that all you need 99.9% of the time is the "feel" of something and not an excact replica. And I seriously doupt that the stargates in the film are the same as in the tv series.
