living room set

NOTE: the following messages have been transferred from the original SMA.com Message Board jason User ID: 0485244 Aug 21st 6:49 PM Would velcro be good for carpet in a living room set? If it's not could you recommend anything else.. Thanks! Nick H User ID: 0701364 Aug 22nd 4:28 AM I've done a couple of sets with carpet (actually pile fabric) and used a staplegun to fix it down. The staples were out of sight, they sort of dissappeared into the pile but not quite so I kept them out of camera view. You can also use spray glue on the back. I had to pre-drill my tiedown holes (so the fabric wouldn't twist around the drill) and cut little slits in the fabric where the holes in the chipboard floor were. Adam User ID: 0965344 Aug 22nd 7:09 PM This is close to my heart! I just completed my living room set on the weekend. For carpet, I found some sponge-like material (with paper backing) in an art shop. I've also seen the same stuff for sale as doll's house carpet. I chose it because there's very little "shag" to disturb between shots - it's nice & firm.
