it looks like it should work just fine. Maybe you could put something heavy on the bottom brace near the floor to keep it from sliding around as you animate on it.

Another option is to mount it on a table and use G-Clamps to solidly attach it to the table top (make sure it's an old table no-one cares about anymore!). Looks good! The timbers are handy for clipping equipment to. I am looking forward to your HEADLESS ZOMBIE movie! ;)
