Hiding tie down holes

I have a tag board floor for my tie downs, and it works very well, I just need some ideas for how to cover up the holes while I'm shooting. Any ideas as to what I could put down that would still give it a smooth even surface, but I could be able to fill in the holes after I've used them?

Clay, tape, putty, sawdust... Painted the same color as the floor. There are lots of old posts on this topic that may help! -

Not to mention Strider's tutorial on Hiding Tiedown Holes at Stopmoshorts! Go to the gallery, then to tutorials and resources.
