magnetic paint

check this out (the link i posted is for canadian dollars, but they list for american and international too). http://www.leevalley.com/wood/page.aspx?c=1&p=52114&cat=1,250,43298 this stuff might be very useful for "magnet foot" animators. anyone out there tried it before? can you comment on results? the only thing you'd be dealing with is that the magnetic set would ALWAYS be attracting the foot magnet, as opposed to using a free floating magnet (say, on a wooden piece of dowel) that you bring up under your set to attract the puppet foot magnet, at just the right moment you want it. when the set is ALWAYS attracting the foot, it makes careful and tiny adjustments trickier. it's the same tricky thing you'd have with a "real" metal set... still, it's neat stuff. now if we just had magnet paint, we'd be all set. although they would have to store the two products on opposite sides of the store. ah... magnet humour. so attractive. (as in- magnetically attractive). (insert sound of crickets here)... .... Roy.
